| The ray-parameter method for acoustic velocity measurements of sediment layers presented by Bryan has been extended to the case of layers having a common dip-angle. Expressions for calculating the layer velocity and thickness are derived. and errors of the velocity measurement- caused by uncertainties of the ray-parameter and dip-angle are estimated. |
