| Ultrasonic sensor measurements are mostly based on the determination of the propagational speeds of waves. This paper presents the development of a pulse-echo measurement method, based on the use of a phase spectrum to determine the ultrasonic wave velocity. A detailed descripsion of the theory is given. Some simulated results have been shown that the method can be used to measure the speeds of waves in nondispersive and dispersive medium. |
