      在隐蔽通信领域中,混沌脉位调制(Chaotic Pulse-Position Modulation,CPPM)与混沌脉宽调制(ChaoticPulse-Width Modulation,CPWM)已迅速发展起来,相比于Pattern时延差编码(Pattern Time Delay Shift Coding,PDS)与传统的脉宽调制(Pulse-Width Modulation,PWM),混沌调制后的编码通信隐蔽性更好,但通信速率没有得到显著改善。在CPPM技术基础上,联合CPWM技术提出一种应用于水声通信的新型混沌脉位-脉宽联合调制通信系统。混沌脉位-脉宽联合调制通信具有双重隐蔽的特点,相较于CPPM与CPWM通信系统,联合调制的隐蔽性更好;相较于PDS与PWM通信系统,联合调制通信速率更高、有效带宽更大。对混沌脉位-脉宽联合调制(Chaotic Pulse-Position andPulse-Width Joint Modulation,CPPPWM)水声通信系统进行了研究,并在帐篷(Tent)映射下加以实现。对系统特性及误码率特性方面进行了分析,并从理论与仿真数据结果对联合调制系统的误码率进行分析,并验证CPPPWM通信系统的有效性。

      In the field of covert communications, chaotic pulse-position modulation (CPPM) and chaotic pulse-width modulation (CPWM) have been developed rapidly. Compared with the traditional pulse-bit modulation (PPM) and pulse width modulation (PWM), chaotic modulation achieves the better communication concealment, but the communication rate is still not improved. Based on the CPPM technique, a new chaotic pulse-position and pulse-width joint modulation (named ‘CPPPWM’) communication system for underwater acoustic communication is proposed, which has the characteristics of double concealment. Compared with the CPPM and CPWM communication system, the joint modulation has better concealment, higher communication speed and greater effective bandwidth. In this paper, the CPPPWM underwater acoustic communication system is studied and realized by Tent mapping. The characteristics of the system, particularly the bit error rate are analyzed, and the bit error rates of the joint modulation system obtained from the theoretical calculation and simulated test verify the validity of the CPPPWM communication system.
